"The spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said Thursday that Obama made his decision out of respect for the servicemen and women, but Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign immediately criticized the move.

"Barack Obama is wrong. It is never inappropriate to visit our men and women in the military," said Brian Rogers, a spokesman for the Republican contender.

Obama's decision raised a number of questions because the visit, which had been scheduled for Friday, never appeared on the schedule of events distributed to reporters who are accompanying him on his travels"

I like how FSU's profile (which is now prominently displayed) says "I'm not a Republican or a Democrat.

      LOL!!

Well, we KNEW he wasn't a Democrat ... as he spends his entire bio space blaming and whining about all things Democrat.

But he says he's not a Republican either?

Gosh ... maybe he's one of the few Righties who realizes there is no Republican party anymore ... as they have been absorbed by the Neo-Conservative movement ... a movement modeled after the old Soviet Union military expansionist credo.

Of course, I seriously doubt that FSU fully comprehends that this sea-change has occurred. I mean, does anyone on Propeller believe for a second that someone such as FSU, who ONLY insults others, has the mental capacity to exchange ideas, concepts ... to consider to ponder the ever changing landscape of politics in America?

If you have any doubt, scroll down to Will1313's comment in which he mentions that he has set up collection boxes for our nation's soldiers.

Then check out FSU's reply, in which he does what he ALWAYS does ... EVERY SINGLE TIME ... insults in just that way you expect someone without a Moral Compass to reply.

That's why I say Neo-Conservatism is a Morally Vacant Ideology. Look at who supports it. Look who apologizes for it.

The sad thing is ... The Republican Party used to stand for so much. Now ... it's just another morally vacant ideology ... like Communism.

What was Osama thinking ? What was so important in Paris that he couldn't stop by and see our wounded veterans?

This clearly shows America what he truly thinks of our military and their sacrifices.....

Who would vote for such a callous, uncaring individual ?

Oh, wait....I know....The dumba$$ liberals would because they ALSO don't give a crap about our military and what's best for our country....

      Goppy, good to see you.

I thought about abandoning this website after Tuesday, but then I would miss reading your great commentaries ...and I would miss being a thorn in the sides of AG, FSU, libsR, and all the other n*tj*bs here...and unlike FSU, who says he "was sent here to earth by God to make liberal lives miserable," I could really care less...I HAVE A LIFE! But I do like to f**k with the conservatives!

I think I will hang out on propeller for a while longer!

It's is nice to see that both you Scott and Goppy decided to stay it will make my decision to stay easier and make propeller much more palatable, for a second there I thought it would be the AG show. I still cant seem to find any of my comments and when i do find the stories i posted on they seem not to be there i am hoping this is all a glitch and will be fixed soon....James.

I wonder if FSU knows that the pentagon told Obama he couldn't visit? I am betting this story will go away soon because is stands on shaky ground at best!

Ohhh Goopy, I just love how you continue to confuse low-brow personal attacks with actual debate and intellect. You just have stupid streaming between those pointy ears, doncha?

Now, as far as communism, you obviously haven't been payin' attention to the liberal idiotology you love so much. Global warming lies, oil drillin misinformation, confiscation and redistribution of wealth, hatred of religion -- even though your current darling is as religious as they get.

It's a shame when the scrapped the old Propeller they didn't get rid of the fools like you. But, you are a known non-quantity regarded quite properly as a comp[lete buffoon.

Now, how's ol 'Johnny Edwards' love child doing? He's off sneaking around behind his cancer-stricken wife's back, but you refuse to admit it. HYPOCRITE ;)

No. The problem is Obama doesn't have compassion for those wounded in a war he hates.

Why such a long personal attack against FSU? You can disagree without being disagreeable. The leftists have a lot more in common with the communists than the right wing ideologues. FSU has a right to whine about all things Democratic just as you have a right to whine about Republicans.

Back to the post, normally, the troops are not visited when it's part of a political campaign and Obama is only following McCains lead in this instance, at least as I understand it.

What seems to be MISSING from your information is that the Pentagon told Obama that he was not ALLOWED to go to the hospital as the Democratic Presidential Candidate he could only go as "the Senator from Illinois".

Since the Senator's staff had already returned to Washington (because the Senate information gathering portion of the trip had concluded) and only the Obama for President staff was still traveling with Obama they wouldn't be allowed to go to the hospital.

Since the Pentagon didn't make this information available until late Wednesday (after the Senate staff left) the campaign did not have enough time to make other arrangements except to try and phone as many service members as possible which Obama did.

Well according to the Pentagon he wasn't allowed to take his press folks with him so he canceled the stop.

I hate to state the obvious.....like sooo many have done before, but liberal Americans certainly do support the men and women of the Armed Forces. Matter of fact, there are liberals fighting in Iraq. Shame on you for dishonoring them with such clap trap.

            US

            Did you read the article?

"...a decision his spokesman said was made because the Democratic presidential candidate thought it would be inappropriate on a campaign-funded journey."

It sounds to me that HE mad the decision, not the Pentagon...

            Good try, though...

And even if you're story is true, couldn't he have said, "You know what? It's more important to me to see these guys and gals and show them we care and to thank them for their sacrifice to this country..."

That would have went over way better than simply ignoring them because he had to get to Paris....

and besides, would have made a great photo op for the faker....Don't you think, US ?

              Hmmm...

As I read this morning, it was the Pentagon who requested Obama not to visit the wounded veterans...they didn't say he couldn't go, they just said it might not be appropriate...
